two bedroom apartments are available by the day or week and come
fully equipped for extended stays. Amenities include washer & dryer,
microwave and all small appliances necessary for a comfortable stay.
Make your own snack or enjoy the restaurant next door and plan you
next days adventure. Our area offers many great things to do. During
summer months we have some of the best nature has to offer. Just
a short ride to Baxter State Park and you can enjoy everything from
mountain climbing to the natural water slide at Abal falls. Naturalists
will enjoy the unspoiled, pristine wilderness. Observe wildlife
in it's natural habitat, Moose feeding in streams, Birds nesting,
This is nature at it's very best. Fall offers a spectacular range
of colorful autumn foliage with Mt. Katahdin serving as a backdrop
for these vista views. In the winter you can enjoy over fifteen
hundred miles of groomed snowmobile trails (we are on ITS 83). Our
winter wonderland will unfold before you as you sled through the
pristine wilderness.
Another
adventure may be traveling to the East branch of the Penobscot River
to visit "Grand Pitch" water falls or canoeing the river. Also head
north on Rt. #11 to the Allagash Wilderness Waterway for canoeing,
moose watching or just site seeing. The Allagash Wilderness Waterway
stretches northward as far as the eye can see. This remote and isolated
river corridor is perhaps the most diverse of our northeastern waterways.
Brooks and streams wind through swampy forests of conifers and between
ridges of northern hardwoods as they make their way to numerous
lakes and ponds and eventually to the river that draws its life
from them all. When you have had a full day and you are ready to
settle in for a warm cozy night, return to your room. Enjoy a quiet
evening watching TV, resting and relaxing, A busy day awaits you.
